Lehenda Ukrainian Dance Company invites you to share in the Ukrainian Dance phenomenon! 26 February 1988, after a “Ukrainian Golf Day” at the Gisborne Golf Club on 30 January 1988. The event was organised by a group of keen Ukrainian golfers anxious to share their passion with like-minded members of the community. In cooperation with the Association of Ukrainians in Victoria, who recognised the wider benefits of establishing such a club within their community, the first tentative moves were made to attract members.

Golf Club, or a Social Club? The first committee decided that, while great emphasis was to be placed on the social aspects of Ukrainians meeting with Ukrainians on the course, the rules and etiquette of golf were to be supreme. Welcome to the home of the Ukrainian Golf in Melbourne, Australia. It was officially formed on 26 February 1988.

To promote and foster the game of golf within the Ukrainian community and in so doing, further the friendship and fellowship with other Ukrainian organisations and clubs. Learning Ukrainian is fun and easy! Founded in 1954, our school is one of the oldest Ukrainian schools in Victoria. The Ukrainian Community School has enriched hundreds of students’ lives by inspiring them to learn Ukrainian and discover their heritage. Classes are held on Saturdays from 9am-1.
