3 nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing, expanding and promoting Russian cultural awareness for the enrichment of the Texas community. Russian speaking citizens of our community with the diverse community of the Greater Houston area while supporting russian club houston and services which preserve and maintain our Slavic cultural heritage of our emigre community.

Our objectives are to promote Russian culture through art, education, cultural and philanthropic activities. It also includes active participation in local charities and events, which promote the common goal to live, work and raise our families together in Houston. What We Do Our organization was formally established in 2005, but we as individuals and small groups have worked hundreds of volunteer hours to the cause, which now unites us in URAA. Our unique Puppet Theater KHOKHLOMA is an important part of our art activities. The puppet collection started in 2010, and the theatre was founded in 2012 by artist and doll maker Elena Suvorova Philips. The company performs colorful Russian folk tales and adapted classical play. Puppet Theater KHOKHLOMA, Balls and Disco nights, movie nights, special topic presentations, folk dance performances, discussion groups, festivals and art exhibitions are only some of these activities, which are planned to attract audiences from American, Russian and other communities represented in the greater Houston area.
